Overview

The Frida Kahlo Museum, called La Casa Azul is the Intimate Universe of Frida Kahlo.

In this house, the artist lived most of her life; initially with her family and years later, with Diego Rivera. Frida wanted to leave her home as a museum, to be enjoyed by her beloved Mexico. For this reason, after her death, Diego organized here, the Frida Kahlo Museum.

Since the Museum’s inauguration in July 1958, the Blue House exhibits the ambiance that inspired Frida for her creation, as well as her personal belongings. Along with paintings by both artists, are displayed popular art pieces, pre-Columbian sculptures, photographs, documents, books, and furniture.

The garden is an essential part of the Blue House and it gives you access to the exhibition of Frida’s Dresses. With this ticket, you'll have the opportunity to enter Frida Kahlo's world and skip the lines at the ticket office.

Love it well explain. Mario and Sergio are great in explain Frida Kahlo, as well as showing us Xochimilco. My friends and I decided to do the tour in Spanish and English and both languages are magnificent, and well understood. Completely worth it. Definitely would do it again. If you are a fan or not, a trip to Casa Azul is a must in Mexico City. It is beautiful and I have never seen so many of her works together in an intimate setting. Great videos tell all about her and Diego Rivera.
A highlight of my trip to Mexico

Frida Kahlo's Blue House, which she shared with Diego Rivera, is a must see while in Mexico City. It was fascinating and very educational.
Crowded, but worth the wait.

The ticket purchasing was a little tricky. Our e-tickets said one entry time, and the day of entry they said something different. I'm not sure I did anything wrong, so be prepared to have a "plan B." Luckily, there's a fun marketplace in the neighborhood. We were able to explore until the revised entry time. They make you buy a camera pass to take photos, which didn't make much sense since most people were using their phones to take pics.
Much better than I was expecting.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Museo Frida Kahlo. The displays are well presented and informative. The one gripe I have is that everybody is expected the walk through the museum in one direction from a single entry point but this is not made clear either by the staff or by signs at the entrance.

I booked tickets before we went to Mexico through Viator. I’m glad I did because the lines of people without tickets waiting to get in were round the block.
Viator did change our entry time by one hour the day before our visit which was somewhat inconvenient in that we had no way to re-print our tickets.
