Polanco Loop Tour

The Polanco section of this tour was fabulous. Green lush shaded restaurants and beautiful town houses that anyone would envy. Freedom to hop on and off was greatly appreciated.
Great if you avoid the green route!

We chose the CITY TOURS with the red, yellow, green and purple route.
A good way to get to some of the sites and see some of the city.
I would go at 9am and go on the red route first - hop off to see the Museum of Anthropology - it’s a nice easy museum to visit (open spaces, sections and super interesting) and then walk across the road to Chapultepec park and have a walk around the lake. There is a zoo which we didn’t go to and a butterfly garden which we missed. Doing it early / first you miss the crowds especially as the weekend.
Yellow route goes past the expensive area and shops and you can get off for another museum and the aquarium.
Purple route is at the start and is around Zocalo
AVOID the green route unless you like buses! There is zero interesting other than two stops next to each other for Frieda Karlo’s house - you’d be better getting a taxi if you want to go. You waste about 2.5 to 3 hours on motorway and driving past the airport area a number of times - it wasted an afternoon and we lost the will to live.
Rest great - green horrendous!
Hop on!

After reading negative reviews about the hop on hop off bus tours I was hesitant to hop on. Well, no complaints. There is English audio available for the green line only. You are provided with a headset and you simply plug it into the speaker. Expect the bus to pass by where you are dropped off every 40 minutes plus or minus traffic etc. I enjoyed my experience. Not bad for $160 pesos on a weekday.
No english...

No english interpretations…it should have been nice if there was…We paid for English interpretations…hop on hop city bus tours like in Italy do have English where they provide earphones for English and Spanish… thank you
Not so good

Bus service wasn’t consistent and they didn’t have English guide in most of the buses. Nobody speaks english due to which we were very confused.
