Let yourself be conquered by the history of Mexico with the visit to two colonial cities in this fascinating tour to Puebla and Cholula, it also includes an extraordinary landscape of the legendary volcanoes.
We begin with the visit to Cholula. On the way you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes that include the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes and we will tell you about the romantic pre-Hispanic legend about them.
When visiting Cholula you will know its main pyramid considered the largest in the country. We will climb to the top of the pyramid to see the church of the Virgin of the Remedies built by the Spaniards in times of conquest.
In Puebla you will enjoy a delicious typical Mexican food (optional) and enjoy on foot the magnificent Historical Center of the city where you will know the main colonial buildings such as the Chapel of the Rosary, within the Church of Santo Domingo, the Plaza de Armas and the market El Parían so you can get to know the Mexican crafts.

The driver spent a great deal of time on his cellphone - not hands free - and he was also texting while driving.
We didn’t enjoy the restaurant chosen for lunch. Would have preferred stopping in an area with a few choices ie food court, and buying our own lunch - like some of the passengers did.
Longer time to explore local artisans would have been enjoyed - 30 minutes was not enough. Too much time spent in traffic on the weekend spoiled the tour.
Overall, Puebla and Cholula are full of history. These cities played a big role during the time of Cortez and in the Mexican Independence. The old churches are amazing, plus the modern cities that have grown up around them are vibrant and youthful.
There was a little misunderstanding for the pickup, I didn't receive any confirmation via email so I called and I was told the pickup was at 8:45. I call again in the morning (8:00) to be sure and they confirm the pickup time for 8:45.
At 8:35, after we had breakfast and we were going to our room to get ready I see there's someone looking for me at the lobby, he ask me to leave immediately, which was a no go for us. He says he gives me 5 minutes, I reply that I will be on time at 8:45, when I arrive at the lobby (8:45) they left. I call the number and they say they'll send me a uber to get to the meeting point, 5 minutes later (and a couple of minutes before the uber arrives) the same guy who came before pick us up. Quite a mess.
But as I said, the tour was definitely enjoyable and I can recommend it especially for the guide.
