Gem of a tour!

Alfonso “Poncho” was a fantastic guide explaining everything we saw and was so helpful shepherding our group. Loved the food. It was very educational and would highly recommend. Loved the Mercado Jamaica flowers and making the hursche. It was a little bit of everything with a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend.
A great time!

We had an amazing time, and we would highly recommend this tour to anybody interested in a truly authentic cultural experience in Mexico City. Great guide! Great food! The whole tour takes about 5 hours overall, which is just the right amount of time. We (a family of two adults and two kids, one preteen and one teen) couldn’t be more pleased.
Good food and history lesson

It was a great tour of spots frequented by the locals and history of Mexico City. Breaking bread with individuals binds people together in ways unexplained and this is that experience.
A very authentic tour

This tour takes you through some less touristy areas and markets, let you experience the city's subway and you’re even able to cook in a small family's restaurant -YOURE GONNA EAT A LOT-. DONT TAKE A BIG BREAKFAST BEFORE THIS TOUR.
Alfonso was a very kind and genuine tour guide, very knowledgeable.
The first market we visited was the Presidente Abelardo Bueno, I think, and by the time we got there it was still just opening, so it didn’t have a lot of things to see or buy, but Alfonso takes you through some mural paintings that are very little known. Then we went back to the city center, took the metro and visited the Jamaica market, a much bigger market where you should have some cash to buy candy, flowers, fruits or many different kinds of cheap and nice souvenirs. After that you walk to a small area of restaurants where you get to know the history of huaraches and learn how to prepare them with an authentic family who’s been in the business for generations. You get to eat tamales, atole, tacos and huaraches. A very authentic, different and original tour.
Excellently guide
